Old Scammell Trucks

  Scammell of Watford, England, also supplied many of its trucks to the British Army. The Scammell Explorer 6x6 was a developed version of the 6x4 Pioneer of World War II fame. The Explorer saw service in such conflicts as the Korean War. This one is taking part in a cross-country truck trial in France. Early production was of a six-wheeler with chain drive and solid tyres that could carry 7.5 tons.
